The secret
I watched ‘The Secret: The Law of Attraction’ just now. It’s interesting but I couldn’t help but think we, Muslims have been taught that by Allah. It reminds me of this ayat from surah Ali Imran, ayat 145..
“Sesuatu yang bernyawa tidak akan mati melainkan dengan izin Allah, sebagai ketetapan yang telah ditentukan waktunya. Barang siapa menghendaki pahala dunia, niscaya Kami berikan kepadanya pahala dunia itu, dan barang siapa menghendaki pahala akhirat, Kami berikan (pula) kepadanya pahala akhirat itu. Dan kami akan memberi balasan kepada orang-orang yang bersyukur.”
You’ll get what you ask for. What important is, you truly ask for it, and have faith. Have FAITH!. I believe in the power of faith. Well, we all know that.. when we are asked, “what is the kekuatan of Islam?”.. we get this answer-> Iman, ukhuwah, material. But how many of us really take it as an advantage? We have the power of believing…
From my own experience… I get all that I ask for. The things that I wanted the most. The things that I imagined. The things that I prayed for. Like really2 imagined and prayed for. And I really2 believe I’d get it. I really got it. Yes, I really got it.
Sometimes people’ll say.. I’ve prayed really hard, but I still don’t get what I want.. I believe it’s because you still have doubts. Sometimes the doubts are there, but hidden. Most of the times it’s there but you keep on praying anyway. You believe, but some doubts are still lingering.. somewhere.
“Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step”. (Martin Luther King Jr).
Then when it comes to the topic of limitation.. muslims know that too! That there’s no limit to what Allah can give us. He is Al-Ghani, Al-Mughniy! He is the most wealthy and can make whoever He wants, wealthy. And we cannot really expect or predict how Allah will unfold our destiny.
“You believe a man can change their destiny?”
“I think a man does what he can, until his destiny is revealed..”
-The Last Samurai
Okay, that’s just a random quote I find interesting. I wanted to comment about this movie.. the loyalty and stuff.. But not right now..
All these .. again, zapped me back into reality. How people are.. are too distractive.. self-centred.. What he wants is always what he wants.. because why? because their purpose in life is to find happiness they say..
I’m not sure how to elaborate on this.. but let me just readdress again the ayat I mentioned above.. the first part…
Suddenly I’m stuck.. huhu.
Akan sambung bila I feel like sambunging it…
…
Alhamdulillah ala kulli hal!
He is the most gracious, the most merciful…
…
Don’t close all the doors of hope.. leave at least one open..
No matter how many sins you commit, do something good..
leave a door open.. as time goes by.. many more door will open..
and you’ll find your way..
(quotes taken from a book by Amr Khaled.. tp ubah ubah suai sket coz i dun hv the book with me rite now)
Selangkah kau mendekati-Nya.. seribu langkah Dia menghampiri-Mu…
believe… it’s all our aqidah.. our iman.. our faith..
have faith..
believe it…
——-
Selamat pulang…

Hmm… Sometimes we already know these things, but we tend to forget. A tazkeer for us, especially ones who usually forget. (I’d say that it’d be me lah in this case). May it strengthen our faith in Allahul Ghaniyy, insya Allah! And may we be among those who are thankful to Him.

Ah! I’ve just read that ayat a few nights ago (or was it last night…), I’m practicing reading the Qur’an with the translation skali, ‘cause I’m inspired by how you always quote the Qur’an.
(Nanti second round, InsyaAllah I’ll start collecting my fav quotes in a book or something. Always wanted to have a quote collection, and rather than just from movies or books, let’s start with the best book of all, huh? ^^)
Anyway, haritu I saw something on Oprah about The Secret, but tak paham2 what the heck they’re talking about sebab tak tengok dari awal. And then there was one woman who didn’t wanna go through chemotherapy eventhough she had breast cancer ‘cause she thought she could “will” the cancer out of her body. That seems a lil’ far-fetched to me. =T
But yes, we Muslims have been told a LOT, sometimes we just don’t realise it, or don’t tell it to the world. And then other people pulak yang “discover” things and think it’s so revolutionary. Can’t say it’s not our fault, though…

Ammar: Indeed. We are human afterall.. the forgetful ones.. thanks.
Aneesah: You should watch the documentary to know what it’s really about.. yeah, about the cancer makcik.. heh.. it’a all about the power of human mind.. she woke up in the morning, she’d say to herself, I’ve healed. For 6 months without giving up. And when she went to check up, yes, she’s cancer free again. Well, ade theory kate it’s possible since every inch of our body parts, every cell will die and replace by another ble sampai mase kan.. so it’s all possible..
you said:But yes, we Muslims have been told a LOT, sometimes we just don’t realise it, or don’t tell it to the world. And then other people pulak yang “discover” things and think it’s so revolutionary. Can’t say it’s not our fault, though…
I agreee
hbo: yes I trust you ^_^
